Smoky Mountain Biofuels, Inc. manufactures fuel-grade biodiesel at their Dillsboro, NC manufacturing plant using virgin oils. All fuel is rigorously tested and meets ASTM certifications. The company uses reclaimed methane gas from the landfill at the Jackson County Green Energy Park as their energy source in the manufacturing process making them the "greenest" biodiesel manufacturer in the country. The company will be expanding in 2007 with an additional manufacturing plant in order to meet the distribution needs throughout Western North Carolina.
